Basketball training all year long

Get Better Basketball during summer time (10 - 16 year old)

- Boys and girls
- 3rd June till august 15th. Summer 2024
- Practices every work day during the summer. 7.30 - 9.00 in Rimi Olimpic center. Grostonas street 6b
- Flexible schedulling for participants. No need to participate in every training session. 

Get Better Basketball Juniors summer time  (7 - 9 year old with no experience)

- Boys and girls

- 3rd June till august 14th. Summer 2024
- Practices every work day during the summer. 15.00 - 16.30 in Rimi Olimpic center. Grostonas street 6b
- Flexible schedulling for participants. No need to participate in every training session.

When others sleep - we train!

We are working with motivated young people ready to rise early in the morning to progress.... while others are sleeping.

We have observed that when boys and girls are practicing together - quality and intensity rises. 

Lectures for kids and parents

There are planned 7 guests this season who will share their experience about and around basketball.

Training fee

20 per training. 

Bonuss system for youngsters and parents

Wehave 4 step bonus system for participants

Pro coaches

There will be a pro coaches during the summe time in our practices

Suggested age

From 10 - 16 years old
And 7-9 years old

Exposure

Both coaches have a huge contact base and can never know who will come to practice watching the new basketball players in action.

We will train everyone in English language.

🏀 This year, we're bringing you 11 weeks packed with 52 intense workouts designed to elevate your basketball skills to the next level. From refining dribbling, passing, and shooting techniques to mastering game reading and footwork, we've got it all covered. Plus, we'll focus on enhancing physical fitness to ensure you're at the top of your game.

We're introducing two age groups this summer: "Get Better Basketball" for 10-16-year-olds and the all-new "Get Better Basketball Juniors" tailored for budding basketball talents aged 7-9.

What are we developing?

THERE ARE PLENTY OF PROCESSES IN BASKETBALL THAT NEED TO BE CARRIED OUT AT WILD SPEED AND WHEN YOU'RE TIRED. SO THERE NEEDS TO BE A HUGE MOVEMENT BASE/EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL PREPAREDNESS TO MAKE IT ALL WORK.

Dribble

We put an emphasis on a player's weak hand, because the weak hand is often a stumbling stone in basketball. As well as working on the strength and coordination in general.

Passing

The passing is an integral part of the game that can be developed to minimize 

turnovers.

Reading situations

Reading opponent and taking the right position to take an advantage.


Shoting mechanics

It's very hard to change the shot, but it can best be done when a player is young and muscle memory is till development.

Speed with the ball

You have to be able to move with the ball as fast as without it.


Physical strenght

Every Tuesday this summer, there will be strenght and conditioning practices with a trainer Elina Huhka.

Personalities

It very important to have your own personality - we try to encourage players to develop one too. 

Discipline

To be on time, greet, cheer for others, say thank you, don't dribble when the coach talks are just a few things.

Penetration to the basket

Holding the ball, initiating the contact and making shots are all things that we emphasize on

Low post game

Coach Lauris specialisation. Each player has to play with his back to the basket when needed.


Foot work

To make a shot, during a penetration, and so on. Foot work plays a major role in everything


To open up and receive the ball

Players need to be able to get the ball where the coach wants it. Otherwise, the player is in a situation where he is no longer a threat or too far from the basket.

Our vision

Our fundamental task is to develop the individual skillset of a player. We want to see our players in youth and adult national teams, and playing in university teams and professional teams.

Summer is the time the players have to grind their skills. The stereotype that summer is just for rest has to be broken. Our philosophy is to spend less time in the gym but to practice with a purpose!
